RMDC organized Training on Accounts Keeping and Management for Partner MFIs

A training program on Accounts Keeping and Management for partner MFIs was organized from October 24-26, 2016 in Kathmandu by RMDC . It was participated by 34 managers and senior accountants of 18 Partner MFIs of RMDC.


The training was designed with the objective of developing knowledge and skill of the participants on keeping accounts, preparation of financial statements, analyzing financial indicators and the role and responsibilities as the accountant in the MFIs.


In the opening ceremony, Manager of RMDC Ms Annapurna Shrestha welcomed all the participants and highlighted on the context and objective of the training. Likewise, Assistant General Manager of RMDC Mr Ram Dayal Rajbansi highlighted on importance of the training program and urged all the participants for their active participation so that they should learn different aspect of accounts keeping & financial management and effectively and efficiently from the program.


The training dealt with the concept of accounts, preparing of vouchers, formatting of financial statements, analyzing financial indicators, calculating depreciation, tax, loan loss provision etc. The methodology of the training was participatory and exercise based.


The training program was coordinated by Manager, Ms Annapurna Shrestha and the resource person of the training were Mr. Roop Bahadur Khadka, Manager and Mr Shyam Babu Shah, CA of RMDC, Mr Mahendra Ban and Mr Mohan Prasad Bhattrai, Department Chiefs of Swabalamban Bikas Bank Ltd.


The participants in the closing session said that the training program was very fruitful and relevant for their job. They expressed that it was a great opportunity for them to learn many facets of the accounts keeping management. At the end of the program, the participants were found very enthusiastic.



During the closing ceremony, CEO Mr Jyoti Chandra Ojha, expressed his satisfaction over the outcome of the training and he suggested all the participants to implement the knowledge gained from the training in their own job. He also distributed certificates of achievement to the participants and congratulated them for completing the training successfully.
